I now present a bio in third person.

Matt Rubano is an Electric and Acoustic Bassist from New York.  After attending The Berklee College of Music, Matt began his session career at age 21 playing bass on the Grammy Award winning “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill” which went on to sell over 20 million copies worldwide.    

In 2003 Matt joined Taking Back Sunday and immediately began working on the band’s sophomore album “Where You Want To Be” which debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 selling 160,000+ copies in the first week.  During his years with TBS, they signed to Warner Bros., toured the world, sold millions of albums and earned 2 RIAA certified Gold records.

Matt’s versatility and love of all genres of music have earned him various performing and recording experiences including iconic stages like Madison Square Garden and Lincoln Center.
